The next six months is a critical time for Los Angeles County transportation policymakers as outlined in Metro’s schedule for developing mobility matrices (project lists) from the 9 subregions, preparing a 2016 potential county ballot measure expenditure plan and beginning the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) update. Per Metro’s January 2015 staff report (more details here), the Board is scheduled to approve the 2016 Proposed ballot measure expenditure plan at their June 2015 Board meeting.
We are hosting a open partner meeting on March 5th to discuss opportunities to increase local funding for active transportation as well as broader public health and social equity goals in the potential 2016 Los Angeles County Transportation Sales tax. RSVP today and join us!
