Metro has updated the schedule for the potential 2016 transportation ballot measure, as part of this update Metro is also requesting all Councils of Governments (COGs) and subregions to submit a project prioritization list as part of the Stakeholder Initial Input process by September 1, 2015.
Congratulations to the San Fernando Valley COG (SFVCOG) who is the first COG/Subregion to submit their priorities for the potential 2016 ballot measure. Read the SFVCOG’s letter of priorities here.
It is exciting to see the SFVCOG support Metro dedicating regional funding to active transportation, in addition to local return. Thanks to our partners at the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC), Los Angeles River Revitalization Corps, Los Angeles Walks, and Pacoima Beautiful for leading the support for this effort.
We encourage our partners to attend other COG meetings and provide input for the potential 2016 Ballot Measure. Looking for background on Los Angeles County Council of Governments and Subregions? Check out this FAQ.
