Investing in Place Managing Director Jessica Meaney is proud to serve on the California Walks Board of Directors and a be part of the programming committee for the upcoming statewide conference on supporting walkable and rollable communities throughout California. This conference will be held in Long Beach on June 6 and 7th – a great chance to showcase Los Angeles County leaders, ideas and efforts. Please consider applying to present and share your work.

Proposals for individual presentations, full sessions, and mobile workshops are now being accepted for the 2016 PedsCount! Summit through Monday, February 8, 2016, 5 PM Pacific. Submissions will only be accepted online via the following Google Form http://goo.gl/forms/9le5zFNxd6. The Programming Committee is excited to feature new and diverse voices at the Summit and strongly encourages community-based organizations and community residents from traditionally underrepresented communities and/or regions of the state to apply. Additionally, partial and full scholarships will be made available-dependent upon funding-to speakers who contribute to the diversity of the Summit and who require financial assistance for registration, travel, and/or lodging.

To help prepare your proposal submission, you can review the entirety of the Call for Speakers form-including example session ideas-in English and Spanish.
